Case Study of Physiotherapy Care of Patient with Arthroplasty of the Shoulder Joint

Author: Barbora Lerlová Title: Case Study of Physical Treatment of Patient with Arthroplasty of the Shoulder Joint The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to introduce the issue of operations cervicocapital prosthesis shoulder joint and following physiotherapy care. The general part deals with theoretical knowledge to the diagnosis in terms of anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of the shoulder girdle, contains information on operational approaches arthroplasthy of the shoulder joint and the possibilities of physiotherapy practice. A special part contains a case report of a patient after implantation arththoplasty of the shoulder joint, which were worked up during special practice in MediCentrum in Prague since 23rd January to 17th February 2012. The patient physiotherapy examination was performed, design and course of therapy. The examination was performed at the first and the last therapy. Title: Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of Cervicocapital Endoprosthesis of the Shoulder Joint Objectives: The aim of this thesis is an introduction and a summary of theoretical and practical knowledge about the cervicocapital shoulder replacement and a case study of patient with such a diagnosis. Methods: The thesis consists of two parts, the general and the special part. The general part includes knowledge related to the topic cervicocapital endoprosthesis of the shoulder joint, proximal humerus fracture and therapeutic methods of this issue, focusing on physiotherapy. The special part includes the case of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of cervicocapital shoulder replacement, contains complex kinesiological examination, therapy and final evaluation of the effect of therapies. Results: The case study was processed in two weeks in January 2017 in Medicentrum Praha and it has proved the effect of applied physiotherapeutic intervention on a patient with the diagnosis of cervicocapital endoprosthesis of the shoulder joint, especially in the area of the operated shoulder joint. Autor: Anežka Kudrnová Title: Case study of Physical treatment of Patient with Arthroplasty of the Shoulder joint Summary: This thesis discusses a case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with arthroplasty of shoulder joint caused by traumatic four-fragments fracture of proximal humerus. The aim of the first, general part of the work is to introduce this diagnosis, surgery and conservative approach in case of fracture proximal humerus. It deals with the general anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of shoulder joint. The specificities of rehabilitation after arthroplasty of shoulder joint are also discussed. The second, practical part of the thesis describes a case report of a patient with this diagnosis. This is a patient I was working with in MediCentrum in January 2015. First the anamnesis, initial kinesiologic examination, design and cours of therapy are described. Then, final kinesiologic examination and evaluation of the therapy are presented.
